In 2005 I saw a red Chinese parade dragon over the International House of Prayer here in Kansas City. A big one, the kind with silk and sequins and people's legs under it. I knew it was a demon and that it had the people there under it's umbrella so that they couldn't see out. I was trying to pray for repentance on their behalf, for the missed opportunities and people hurt - but I could NOT shed a tear in the place. The Lord showed me with demon on the roof that suppressed repentance. I drew my sword and went to whack him and the Lord said, "Leave Him alone. He's with me." "HUH?!?!" The Lord said, "I put him here and I'm not ready for him to get off. Leave and don't come back."
Well that set me on a quest of fasting and praying to understand what He was talking about. That led to me writing the book, "The Red Dragon: the horrifying truth about why the 'church' cannot seem to change." It's available free here on the site or you can order one from Amazon.
There are PLENTY of verses about how, if you go your own way, God will turn you over to a strong delusion. And He's done it. To practically every church around. It's horrifyingly bad out there in Churchianity. Just like a Mad Max wasteland of skulls and dark birds eating dead carcasses. Most have no clue how dead they really are.
I've heard dozens of preachers in my life talk about how America is the sleepy, self-contented, rich church of Laodecia that is really blind, wretched, naked and poor. That needs to buy eye salve and repent, but won't because it doesn't see anything it's doing wrong. And they preach that - but it's always "them out there," never "us in here." But it is. Don't worry about some future falling away. We're fallen. All that's missing is for us to realize it. Some will give up on God (or already have) and some will weep their eyes out when they realize the waste and the fraud and people lost and jewels we stole out of His crown.
What's going to happen when successful business people realize that they are getting exactly ZERO treasure in heaven for the pipe organ and the stained glass and the million dollar chandelier in the sanctuary that they have their name on? What's going to happen to pastors that ASSURED everyone they would never go through tribulation - when tribulation is in full swing? I'm afraid some deacons might lynch some pastors if we don't show them that they were ALL under a delusion together.
Please read my book about the Red Dragon. See if it doesn't explain how you've been hurt. And why you should read Psalm 51 until you have it memorized. The ONLY safe place is a broken and contrite heart. If you stick your chin out and try to chest bump GOD ALMIGHTY, it's going to go very badly for you. And that's what the church in the United States has done. Use Him to suit us. Weep. I mean it. Weep. It's our only hope!
