A Testimony

First a little (
lol ) background ... I was born in a small town ( more lol ) East of
KC, right next to the wrong side of the RR tracks. Seems I've been
trying to outrun that train forever. I started ' drinking ' when I
was 8 years old ... yes it is sad but, nobody made me. That
was, also, the year / time that I totally turned away from the Lord.
Yes I knew that he was real even then, still.
At the age of 15 I
was a Full Blown Alcoholic ... I 'm just putting the facts on the
table, I'm not proud of it. Praise God, in October of 2000, he took
all of that right out of me. Sucked it out in the blink of an eye. I
saw the ' blackness of it ' come ripping right out of my chest. More Praise.
Fast Forward.
In April I got a job in Excelsior as a clerk ... they trained me for
3 days . Then.
On Saturday, April
28th. I got a ticket for " Selling Intoxicating Liquor To A
Minor. " I was so upset, totally sick inside. I knew I didn't
belong there and I was prayin' real hard to get out. Anyway I just
flat out quit ... it was in conflict with everything moral &
spiritual and the Lord had brought me out of that. Oh yeah , I'm
still drunk but , with HIS spirit.
Time for some more Praise!
May 23rd. I go to
court & find out it's $500.00 fine / $118.00 court cost ... so I
get another court date.
I'm thinking ,
well , I'm out of a job , I don't have any money and this has to be
all of God's doing. My next court date is June 20th. and the
Lord has already told told me (on June 13) to walk in say " I'm
GUILTY & I'm SORRY. To look the Judge in the eye(s) and make sure
she understood. So that was what I was going to do ... no matter
what. On & after June 13 I knew that 1 of 3 things would happen.
He was going to send someone w/ the money & a word. I was going
to jail . OR He was going to have them set me free.
The closer I got
to that ' date ' the fewer people I talked to because I didn't want
it sound like I was asking for help. This was between me & HIM
and HE was teaching me a lesson.
On the 18 , 19
& 20th., each morning when I woke up this Third Day song was
running through my head. Each day when I went out & started the
van the song would be on the radio. ( LOLx2 )
Right before I was
to walk into court Sister Clare walks up & says " Brother
Larry the LORD sent me to you. ( The ONLY time I've been speechless
...you should have been there ) She has $620.00 and tells me "
The LORD says for you to never work anywhere that alcohol is sold.
Planted Deep.
In less than 24
hours I had a ' new job' serving the lower class . Merciful God !!!

I thank God for
Clare... that she hears Him & obey's really good.

p.s. There was a
$1.50 left over. She said I was to get a cup of coffee with it . So I
knew I was going to Open Mic Night @ Neighbors. LOL x 5 Praise God !!!
The ' song ' Third
Days Tunnel... it says There's a light at the end of the tunnel for
you.So we start with a train & end with a train. It's all
training. Now I'm running toward the Light as fast as these little
legs can carry me . Yes, it is funny.
