IF we sin, THEN we must not have enough fear of the Lord. IF we believe many in the church, THEN we accept Jesus into our hearts as our personal Savior. IF we believe the Bible, THEN we accept Jesus as our Lord and Master. IF we declare Him to be Savior, THEN we place Him in a position of one-time needfulness. IF we accept any Man as our Lord, THEN we are at their whim. IF we had a little fear of the Lord, THEN we would see that He is Sovereign and there is no other. Single-use Savior or King, Commander, Lord?John 8:24 - “I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4 – For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. Luke 9:23-24 – Then he said to them all, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.” Romans 6:6 – For we know that our old self was crucifed with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. Luke 14:33 – In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. Ephesians 4:22-24 – You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Romans 10:9 – If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is LORD,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” 2 Corin. 4:5 – We do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as LORD.” I Corin. 8:5-6 – Even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. Romans 10:13 – And everyone who calls upon the name of the LORD will be saved. Phillippians 2:10-11 – Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father. Revelation 17:14 – They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is the LORD of lords and King of kings – and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers. John 20:28 – Thomas said to him, “My LORD and my God!” Revelation 19:11-16 – I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. There is no need to have "Fear of a Savior”. But the Bible specifically says that “Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.”Please pray that He would be LORD of your life in every way - King, Commander, Ruler, Lord (and Savior). |
