Dear Doug,
Thanks for taking
the time again to read this update. We're on the final count-down to
May 12th and the all- day revival meeting in Polo, Missouri. More on
that below.
We continue to
have people emailing and calling and coming to Liberty to visit. It's
really great to watch the Lord clean somebody off, reveal old issues
that are clogging up their pipeline to God, light them up and loose
them on the world around them. It's my favorite thing about this job
to help people learn how to get their cup so full of Jesus that
nothing else can fit!
I renew the
invitation to come or to call or to email if you have any needs.
Maybe you need to hear God better, maybe you have an addiction or
stronghold you can't seem to break, maybe you have a hurt or
unforgiveness that can't heal.
Maybe you're even
hearing demonic voices tell you to kill yourself. We watched God whip
the snot out of one of those this week!! A young girl got free and is
beginning to blossom like a beautiful flower.
Whatever it is, we
want to help. We want you to walk in peace and joy and victory. We
want you to be free of all the chains of the enemy and all the yokes
of Man. We want to connect you to the Source. There are people here
that will love you all the way - because you're a child of God, not
because we need your tithes and offerings.
We are supposed to
be known by our love. I think that it's more likely that the
"world" knows us by our dissension, division, factions,
selfish ambition, greed - and our big buildings everywhere. That
can't be good.
The New Song is
playing. The harvest is coming. But we have to bandage up all the
bleeding Christians before we can convince anybody else that God
heals! Please come. We'll help.

POLO Revival -
Praise Our Lord as One

Polo, Missouri is
a little town of a few hundred people about 30 minutes north of
Liberty. It is definitely not the most likely place for God to move.
But that's exactly the kind of heavenly logic that I'm getting used to!
This event just
plopped into place. Literally, it took like 30 minutes and I had
nothing whatsoever to do with it. Musicians and bands are already
signed up, plus some radical speakers. It will still be a M*A*S*H,
but people will be there to bandage the wounded concurrently with the
speakers and singers. We're believing again that no one will go home unchanged.
None of the
"institutional" churches in Polo have anything to do with
this. It's entirely driven by the people themselves and people from
several towns nearby are coming to help. The Church of Liberty, the
Church of Excelsior Springs, the Church of Smithville and several
others are sending help. Even from other states! We'd love to see you
there, if the Lord allows. If you want to help, there will be needs
in the days leading up to it. If you can't make it, we'd sure
appreciate the prayers.
This will be on
Saturday, May 12th from noon until 8pm (or God says to stop). It will
be held at the Polo, Missouri Community Center at 1010 Main St.
That's just South of Highway 116. Polo itself is about 15 miles east
of I-35 and about 25 miles northeast of Liberty.
This the last
update I'll have on that before the event. We have five or six groups
(or soloists) that will be using their musical gifts to glorify God.
We will have speakers, including myself. But this is NOT a
performance or a "festival" or any such thing. This is NOT
another dog and pony show. This is a hospital to heal all those that
come seeking to be healed or freed or filled or whatever their need.
This is not about entertaining the Christians, this is about
repentance and revival and restoration of the Body of Christ.
And there is still
a LOT more work to do in Liberty. I think it's just about time to
take it to the streets. We're also working on a food pantry and how
to meet local needs that the 45+ congregations in Liberty seem unable
or unwilling to meet at the moment.
If God were to
write a letter to the Church of YourTown, what would it say? If ONE
person can stand in the gap for a city (Ezekiel 22) to keep it from
being destroyed, then why haven't you done it yet? God's not big
enough? Or maybe you just don't have a big enough cup of Jesus. Cause
He stood in the gap for everybody for all time. Surely one little
city can't be too hard for Him?

If the Lord tells
you something or puts on your heart to help in some other way, please
let us know. We're not asking you for anything. We're just telling
you how to reach us if HE tells you to help. Please don't help out of
guilt or obligation or ANY motive other than because HE told you to.

New Book in
Process - "The BIG Picture"

People have asked
me questions on specific topics and over the last couple of years the
Lord has poured out some really cool parables or deep wisdom on some
things. I have a way of looking at things that is unlike most of them
theolojeans. And I try to talk real slow and avoid dem big words.
This is getting to
be quite a project and I don't know how large a book it might be when
it's all done. The Lord said it wasn't going to be completed any time
soon, because I'm still learning and we're still adding things, so
not to get all legalistic about trying to print it in bound form. I'm
putting the chapters that are finished online as they come along.
The title of the
book is "The BIG Picture". It's sort of a fear of the Lord,
box-stretching, horizon-expanding thing that I hope will show folks
how truly big and complicated and loving and holy and deserving of
our praise the Father really is. The link is below and if you have
