Dear Doug,
I got back to
Liberty just before Christmas, had a fews days of rest and then
headed out again. Went to revisit the great folks in Branson and drop
Chris Frith off. His mom came over from Memphis to pick him up and
drive back to Knoxville. Was an amazing time with him and his family.
And great to see the folks in Branson again.
In Branson it was
prophesied over me that this next trip would be one filled with
freezing temperatures and rejection on a scale I haven't experienced
before. My first thought was, "How much worse could it really
get?" Well, that prophesy was right on!
While in Branson,
God arranged a divine appointment with a "biker" church and
I got to pray in the New Year with some really great folks in
Berryville, Arkansas. (www.spoke-n-word.com) They are doing some
really great work reaching prisoners and bikers and other
"outcasts" of the modern institutional church. It was a
real blessing to fellowship with them.
After Branson I
had a couple of days in Liberty to recover from a life-altering
revelation that the Lord dropped on me. I can't even write about it
yet, but I was flat on my face weeping for hours. I slept for almost
16 hours one day because I was so exhausted. I continue to pray for
wisdom to process all that He shows me about how really dirty we all
are inside and how big He is to love us anyway.
On Wednesday
morning (Jan. 3rd) the Lord said to drive to Washington state (1650
miles) and pick up Chris Evans. I drove straight through for 31 hours
and arrived at 5pm on Thursday. I know the Lord helped a lot! Then we
drove back through divine appointments in Oregon and Idaho and
Nebraska, and prayed for Salt Lake City and some other strongholds
and state capitals along the way back to Liberty. The Lord is
beginning to show me more about what this nationwide prayer walk is
all about. Some really amazing things that I'll write about when I
have more time.
God's little
minivan now has travelled over 10,500 miles through 25 states in
about two months. It doesn't look like much with it's dented parts
and scratched paint and over 220,000 miles on it now, but it has
handled like a champ through country and city, through deserts and
swamps, and made two passes through the snowy Rocky Mountains in the
middle of winter (and the Cascades, the Catskills, and the
Appalachians!). We developed a crack in the windshield in Wyoming by
running the defrost on the windshield with sub-zero temperatures
outside! There can be no doubt that the part of the prophesy about
freezing cold was right on!
There can also be
no doubt that the part about persecution and rejection was true.
There seems to be a stirring all around. Some folks that were annoyed
with me before are now really losing it. Things that I thought were
settled are resurfacing. All kinds of folks are getting
"twitchy". One international ministry has even threatened
me! Praise God! We must be onto something! Jesus said it would be
like this when we were walking in His ways and seeking to be like
Him. The way I figure it, if there is a war between good and evil and
nobody is shooting at you, then you're NOT dangerous! And the Lord
said that it would be those in your own town and of your house that
would reject you the most. In fact, that people would kill you and
think they were doing God a favor. He wasn't kidding. Trust me. I've
already had people try to kill me in the natural - and LOTS of people
that say they are Christians hating me (which is the same as murder
as far as He is concerned).
This trip is far
from over and I have no idea what's coming next, but God is sovereign
and He has a plan. If you think I'm whacked, I guess I can't blame
you. This is a crazy faith walk I've been on. But ultimately the Lord
is just going to have to sort it out. I've said it over and over when
there was nothing left to say, "You build your altar and I'll
build my altar and we'll see which catches fire first." There's
nothing left to do but ask Him to settle all this. And I'm hoping He
does that soon, but whenever and however He wants is fine with me.
Father knows what He's doing.

How close are
we to the End?

I have been
following this website for about three years. Herb Peters is not a
theologian, he's an insurance salesman that God has called to be a
watchman. He's just reporting the news and trying not to jump to
conclusions too fast. In the meantime, his site has become the most
popular "end times" site on the web (according to Alexa).
Still, that
probably means that most of you have never heard of it, or Herb. I've
linked below to an "Overview" page that summarizes the
timeline over the last seven or eight years of what he has been
watching and reporting. I can't urge you strongly enough to read this
and consider the implications of all of this.
All of the
mechanisms are in place for a one world order and a one world
religion. A seven year peace treaty between Israel, its neighbors and
a rebuilt Roman empire headed by one man (associated TWICE with the
number 666) is already in place. In fact, it started January 1st, 2007!!
If this is THE
seven year peace treaty that marks the Tribulation, then we're all
still here and the Pre-Trib Rapture theory was wrong. If you're going
to cling desperately to the Pre-Trib opinion, then you're going to
have to come to the conclusion that there is some OTHER future ten
nation alliance with a little horn man of peace with a big mouth that
makes a seven year peace treaty with Israel and its neighbors.
I know people have
made a theory into doctrine and cemented it into their dogma and
theology as if it were pure and absolute fact, but it would sure be
nice if you could set that aside long enough to read this Overview
and see if you can get all these pieces to fit together. These are
just the FACTS of what is happening right now in Europe and the
Middle East and in the United Nations - and the United States of
America is fully behind it and helping it along.
Please read it and
see if maybe it will motivate you to hurry. My contention remains
that the Tribulation comes BECAUSE the church has let darkness take
over the world. If that's so, then there is no reason why we should
escape the just consequences of our own disobedience. I'm just real
sure we're going to have to go through the Tribulation and you better
get your heart ready for it. (But I hope I'm wrong.) We surely escape
GOD'S wrath - but not the wrath of the anti-christ and the perverted
systems of the "world".

share the song, poem, prayer, or other gift that the Lord gave them
without denominational walls? Maybe somebody reading this has a place
that could be used like that. Surely there's a barn or a warehouse or
an empty commercial space somewhere that could be used to bring the
Body of Christ together. Hmmmm....

The Red Dragon
book has been revised and some things added that we learned between
the first writing and this final release. This is the first time that
the Lord has allowed me to publish it on the website. But it's up
there now and available for all to read.
If you got the
