Dear Brethren,
WOW!! I left off
the last update with distributing the "Apology" at the
seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. I can't hardly believe how much has
happened since then! I left Fort Worth and had an amazing divine
appointment at Baylor University with the gap- stander there and then
attended Church Under The Bridge on Sunday morning.
(www.churchunderthebridge.org) For about 10 years they have been
gathering from all over the city and feeding the homeless and having
services on Sunday morning under an overpass of the interstate. It
was really neat - and chilly.
From Waco it was
on to College Station to pray for Texas A&M and then on to
Houston, which the Lord was keeping a big secret. As soon as I got
into town the Lord told me who to call and then THAT guy told me who
to call and I met the gap-stander for Houston and stayed there for
three days praying and ministering. I even prayer walked through
Lakewood Church (Joel Osteen's) and Second Baptist Church - two of
the biggest mega churches in America. Also met lots of really great
folks from Chinese and Hispanic ministries and made lots of connections.
Then it was on to
visit Rick Walth in Bay St. Louis, then on East toward Pensacola with
a divine stop in Gulfport to pick up a homeless guy with a broken
foot and drive him to a hospital in Mobile, Alabama. His name is Tom
Morris and he's a Vietnam vet with lots of problems. Please pray for
him. He was trapped in the van with me for an hour and a half and he
knows Jesus, but he's not obeying all the way. I had to get him some
cough drops because he hacked and coughed all the way to Mobile. I
didn't tell him that he was getting deliverance, but he felt a lot
lighter by the time we got to Mobile! :-)
I was about three
days staying with a brother in Pensacola and then on Sunday headed
North through Alabama to pray at the state capitol and to pray with
folks at an A.M.E. in Evergreen and a Church of Christ in Ardmore.
Really beautiful, sweet spirits in both places and really hungry for
more Jesus. In both places I prayed with the leaders for their
cities. We'll see what God will do. The raw humility and friendship
and love and child-like faith I saw in that little non- instrumental,
non-"Spirit-filled", denominational congregation in Ardmore
was sure a big contrast to the prophetic ministries that are sure
they are hearing God, that they are the next big thing and will crush
and disfellowship anyone that disagrees with them. That's what the
Red Dragon will do and the biggest, meanest, most obnoxious Red
Dragons are on the charismatic ministries that should know better
than to be under one. If God gives you a big job to do and you make
it about YOU, He'll turn you over to whatever crazy thing wants to
mess with you - and it will sound just like HIM! The only way to be
sure you are out from under one is to keep a constant spirit of
repentance (Ezekiel 9). Otherwise you'll end up a dead body in the
temple and not even know it.
Anyway, through
Alabama to Nashville and prayed throughout the Southern Baptist
Convention headquarters building. Didn't pray for Lifeway, although
their buildings are all around there and much bigger. Evidently God
is not particularly concerned about blessing their business
interests. But I got to pray with some guys that direct the
Cooperative Program on the top floor of the SBC building. We'll see
what God will do. I know that He loves the Baptists. It's going to be
a lot easier to get more Holy Spirit in the Baptists than to get some
self-control and discernment jammed back into the Charismania wing.
I'm leaving out
LOTS of stuff, like the seemingly random stop in Welch, Louisiana
where the Lord said to get off the highway, turn right at the ramp,
drive to the end of the road, drive up into a driveway and give them
an Apology. Turns out they are Christians and everybody in the house
is sick and they really need prayer. So we pray, I give them a book
and get back on the highway. They were really blessed that God would
care enough to stop somebody on the highway and direct them straight
to THEIR house to bless them. Stuff like that is happening ALL the time.
From Nashville to
Knoxville where I stayed with one of the folks that has been watching
FOTM since near the beginning. LOTS of healing in their home and I
(and they) heard that their oldest son, Chris, was to ride along with
me for awhile. More about Chris farther down, but I'm thrilled as I
can be to have him along for however long the Lord allows. From there
to Manchester, Kentucky and I just HAD to write more about that, too.
AMAZING story and perfect timing for me to be there! Was there two
nights and then on through Cincinnati to Holmes County, Ohio and a
divine appointment with a small home group of former Amish and
Mennonites that got free and wanted to bring the light of Jesus to
the largest Amish/Mennonite community in the nation. Lots of growth
and learning and ministering happened there and a chance to see Chris
use his amazing musical gifts for ministry. Then we had an overnight
drive all the way to Paterson, New Jersey to pray with the
gap-stander there who is having a really hard time. He's pretty much
lost everything and has been weeping and praying and crying out for
that city for a long time now. His name is Ian. Please pray for him.
It's a very dark place. We were only there for a few hours and now
are headed back West. I believe there was the possibility for some
appointments in New England, but a door closed. So the Lord said to
head for home. After two days of 12 hour driving and sleeping in the
van as needed, Chris and I are back in Kansas City as of 7pm on
12/22. I think we did close to 5,500 miles on God's mini-van! That
puts it over 215,000 miles and not a bit of trouble on this trip.
Thanks, Lord!
Well, there's more
below. Please be sure to read about Manchester.
Love you all!!
Please keep praying and if the Lord says to help (or to come along),
let me know. I know there are others that will be joining this road
trip soon as we prepare to head out again after a few days rest.
There's no time to waste - He's coming soon!

What has God
been doing in Manchester, Kentucky
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of the really
great stops on this trip was to see what God has been doing in
Manchester, Kentucky. This was a divine appointment from start to
finish! I was in Knoxville, TN and headed North to pray for Asbury
University when I got an email from someone about a year and a half
old story about Manchester. And wouldn't you know? It's right on the way!
So Chris and I
detour over to Manchester on Thursday night and scout around town,
spend a night in a hotel and get up on Friday when the Lord says, go
to the church the Lord says, ask for the pastor, Doug Abner, who is
mentioned in the email I got and ask to meet with him. They aren't
normally working on Friday, but he's there and has some time for us,
so we talk and I tell him about what we're doing and about the
Lampstands and he totally gets it. In fact, I don't know where to go
from there, so I just wait and the Lord puts it on his heart to
invite me to the regular weekly prayer meeting where over 20 churches
are usually represented so that I can speak to them and pray for
Manchester. And wouldn't you know, it's the next morning at 8:30am.
In the meantime, he drives us around town and shows us where the
march was that changed everything and some of the strongholds in town
and gives me full permission to drive around and pray down whatever I
find in town. He even puts us up in the hotel for the night and pays
for the room!
Chris and I spend
the rest of the day praying all over town and identifying some
strongholds that they may or may not have seen before. One of the
weirdest things that I have ever seen is a cemetery up on a hill that
the Lord led us to where the whole thing is chunked up into pieces by
fences. Everyone in the cemetery looks to be Christians, but even in
death they insist on keeping the walls between them. Some based on
family ties, some without any obvious reason at all. We counted over
12 different kinds of fences! Most were broken or missing chunks or
nothing but a single wall of fence! The result was that, while they
were all in total agreement that Christians will eventually die, they
STILL weren't willing to let the walls down!
The next morning
at the prayer meeting Chris played the piano and I spoke and showed
them that they had repented for the drugs in the town and God had
CRUSHED it. What is shown on the video linked below is only a TINY
piece of what God has done. In the last year the Sheriff, the mayor,
the school board, the city council, the school superintendent - all
born again or replaced by Christians. The state even gave them a
multi-million dollar grant to build a CHRIST- CENTERED rehab center!
Not "faith based" - CHRIST- centered! Nearly everyone we
met in the hotel and restaurants were ex-junkies that had gotten
saved and their lives had been radically turned around.
But they didn't
repent for not being one Body all the time. They repented for not
being one body on the one issue - drugs. I was sent there to show
them that if they wanted to radically transform EVERYTHING, then they
needed to be One Body on ALL the issues. The prayers of a righteous
man availeth much - but the prayers of a righteous TOWN crush whole
economies and ecologies and nations begin to turn!
I prayed with them
the prayer I know the Lord wanted prayed. I repented for the division
and dissension and faction in the Body and begged the Lord to restore
the Lampstand of Manchester, Kentucky. That is, I did what I do, I
hit my knees and cried in public. And wouldn't you know, they cried
out too and God heard their cry. Manchester, Kentucky got a
Lampstand. Now it's up to them to keep it burning. If there is any
city in America that should know by now what can happen when the Body
comes together as one, it should be Manchester, Kentucky!!
Nonetheless, it's
an uphill battle for any town, but especially deep in the darkness of
the Appalachian mountains. Please pray for them. And make sure and
follow the link below and watch the video!! It's worth the time, I promise.
And if you want
this to happen in your town, get in touch with me and we'll seek the
Lord together on what to do. Love you all.
If you want to help
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If the Lord tells
you something or puts on your heart to help in some other way, please
let me know.
If you want to
send mail, you can send it to: Liberty Disaster Relief, 844 S.
M-291 Hwy, #251 Liberty, MO 64068. That will get handled even if
I'm not in town. You can Paypal to fotm@fellowshipofthemartyrs.com or
get in touch with me if the Lord tells you something else. There are
needs, but I pretty much only discuss those with my Dad. So just ask
Him what we need and then do whatever He tells you.
Right now though,
please pray in agreement with us for God to provide a larger
transport - an RV or a trailer or a bus or something - so that we can
take more people and gear on the next leg of this trip. We don't need
it donated, a loaner would be fine. Just pray with us that the Lord
would find a way. Thanks!
Wouldn't it be
nice if there was some place in Liberty where people could come and
share the song, poem, prayer, or other gift that the Lord gave them
without denominational walls? Maybe somebody reading this has a place
that could be used like that. Surely there's a barn or a warehouse or
an empty commercial space somewhere that could be used to bring the
Body of Christ together. Hmmmm....
For your support
of His work, may the Lord richly bless you in whatever way He thinks best.

About Chris Frith
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I was in
Knoxville, Tennessee staying with the Frith family, the Lord was
clear that I was to give Mark 2:14 to Chris and suggest that He pray
and see if the Lord would have him come with me. I asked his folks
first and they both agreed that Chris hears God just fine and they
trusted him to make the right decision. After about two days of
praying and putting out a fleece or two, God confirmed that he was to
come along.
Chris is 19 years
old and an amazing musician and performer. He plays a number of
instruments and acts and directs and is a whiz on the computer with
graphics, web design and other stuff. He has already been a great
help and found features on my new laptop that I had no idea where
there! (And I'm not new to computers!)
Below are a couple
of links to some of his music online. I'm having a great time with
him already and it's been good to not be alone. He's learning to hear
God's voice really good all the time and is growing by leaps and
bounds. And his music has been an amazing help in bringing the
presence of God down on a meeting! We've had people that couldn't
stop crying or couldn't get off of their knees for 30 or 45 minutes!
God is so good to allow me to come alongside someone with the skills
and the heart like this young man. I hope you'll take the time to
hear some of his music.
He is the fourth
young man that I've given Mark 2:14 to in the last month and a half.
I believe all four may be coming along at some point or another. And
they are all amazing in their own ways! I have no idea how many
others may be joining as well, and I have no idea where we're going,
but when this team descends on a town, WATCH OUT!! :-)
(Read more about
him and see his graphics and hear his original music on the link
below. By the way, the picture of him on there is not his
"normal" look. That was for a show. Just in case you were worried.)
I can tell you
this, with the kind of folks the Lord is raising up for this work,
the "religious" spirits better watch out! This is going to
be a really eclectic group of "weirdos"! Praise God, just
like the gang Jesus raised up! :-)
The Red Dragon
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We're getting lots
of good feedback about the Red Dragon book. A lot of people
confirming that they've been hearing similar things but didn't
realize how truly desperately bad things are.
If you didn't
request it, you can still do that. I'm still not getting permission
to post it on the site. Just email me and ask for it if you haven't
already and the Lord says that you should.
Love ya.
